We care about your privacy.
At ODW, Patients is our most important core value. It means we’re committed to earning your trust and keeping your data safe.
What data do we collect?
To book an appointment on ODW with a dentist, the only information you need to share is your name, email, sex, and date of birth. You also have the option to enter additional information to help you find just the right dentist.
Over the years, patients have asked us to improve more aspects of their healthcare experience by managing more medical information. In fact, we developed ODW Check-In – an opt-in service which helps you digitally complete your medical paperwork and share it with your dentists – because it was the most requested feature from patients.
To make sure we’re always improving ODW, we also track how you use the service – such as the time of day you schedule your appointment, the specialties that you book most often, and the type of device you use.
How do we protect data?
ODW takes great care of patient information. In fact, the data encryption we use is based on the same standards that banks use to safeguard your financial details. A ODW team member can only view your personal information if helping you directly or helping a dentist with an appointment you booked. Additionally, all of us here at ODW are trained, because we want everyone – regardless of role – to remember that patient trust and protection are our highest priorities.
How do we use data?
For our core service – appointment-booking – we share your name, Dental health cards (if you have any them), date of birth, sex, and chosen appointment time with your dentist. If you choose to use ODW Check-In (instead of a clipboard and pen in the dentist’s office), we securely relay to your dentist any information you voluntarily provide.
Like other online businesses, we may show ads for our services on other websites or platforms. We never show you ads for third party products.
We may also use aggregated or personally de-identified data for projects that can benefit the world, like studying disease patterns or contributing to public health initiatives. And in the future, we might work with partners to help us accomplish these things.
Rest assured, we will not share your personal information unless we have your consent or are required by law to do so. We never sell your personal information to any third parties.
